People of the Bay

These images were made in 2012 on my third trip to Apalachicola Bay. I had photographed most of these folks the day before as they were hanging out drinking and talking. I told them to come by the next afternoon and I would bring a white backdrop and flash to make some more formal portraits. Almost all of them came and we had a blast photographing for a few hours. This was the beginning of a years long relationship with the people around Apalachicola Bay. Sadly a lot of the people have passed or left when the bay was closed.
