Oysters
Oysters are back on Apalachicola Bay. The bay reopened on January 1, 2026 for a limited time. These images are from the 20 teens when the bay was still wide open. Hopefully it will get back to this soon. It has been 5 years since the bay was open. Back in the day there would be a hundred boats on the bay almost everyday, now any amount will be good. I will be down there in March or April to give it my last hurrah, hoping to see some old friends from the past.

Turtle on the Bed
This has aways been my favorite image made with Turtle back in the day. I absolutely loved the light. It was captured in an old friends home in their bedroom. The light was from a window with everyting else very dark. Everything is just visible and yet dark enough to be very mysterious. I have sold a couple of these prints over the years. I think I'm gonna print one for my home.

Turtle and Chair
A very interesting image of Turle from around 1979, taken with Kodak Infrared film at an old home near where I lived in Marietta. The infrared film lightened her skin and sort of softened up the entire scene. I'm not sure I ever used that film again after this shoot, pretty sure I didn't. Back then I did all my own processing and printing in black & white. I had a darkroom in my basement.

Turtle Marietta Square
Another image of Turtle from a shoot we did on Marietta Square back in the day. We usually shot something at least once a week. It never really mattered where , when or what the idea was, she always came through. I could always count on at least one great image.
